We are a partners in life as well as in our clinical practice. We share our home with our four year-old son Ian, Callahan the dog and the kittens, Berlios and Backwards.

Our home office looks out on mossy woods where chipmunks  scamper and pileated woodpeckers rattle the spruces.  Three big skylights let plenty of light into the treatment room, which we have transformed into a little tropical oasis in the middle of New Hampshire.  A safe place for healing.


Nancy Rugo NP, CMT

Nancy earned her graduate nursing degree from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She is an independent adult nurse practitioner, with dual certification in Adult Health and Women’s Health, and a certified massage therapist.  Nancy practices integrative medicine, combining the best of both alternative and conventional therapies. She has special expertise in the treatment of problems associated with menopause, perimenopause and hormonal imbalance. She offers safe and effective natural alternatives to hormone replacement drugs.  Nancy has a strong background in pain management and complementary therapies, and is a Certified Menopause Educator. She also maintains a practice in Women's Health at The Center for Integrative Medicine in Concord, NH.


 
Jim Whedon, DC
Dr. Jim has 20 years of clinical experience and has led numerous healing intensive workshops. A member of the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research, Dr. Jim serves on the advisory board of several professional journals. He was recently appointed an instructor at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.  He also administers the trauma registry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He has been certfied in Network Spinal Analysis.  In his practice, Dr. Jim helps indivduals to attain and maintain neurologic fitness, and offers expertise in the care of stress-related and post-traumatic problems, and chronic pain. He has conducted several multidisciplinary research projects in collaboration with Dartmouth Medical School faculty, and has published dozens of monographs on complementary medicine, as well as peer reviewed papers. He recently applied for NIH funding for a five-year research project on chiropractic utilization and safety in older adults.
